High Intensity Support Skills Training
Medication Training
Annual face to face training. Prepare medications and support client with administration of medication. Check medications against medication order, follow legal requirements. Recognise circumstances in which medication administration should not proceed and seek advice from supervisor or health professional. Documentation, infection prevention and discarding of waste.
Diabetes Training
Annual face to face training. Understanding principles and management, strategies to prevent diabetes and reducing risks of complications associated with diabetes. Strategies to manage diabetes in an emergency- Hypoglycaemia, Hyperglycaemia, Glycemia, taking blood sugar levels.
Dysphagia Training
Annual face to face training. Provide mealtime assistance to client, under instruction of speech pathologist, including the reinforcement of positioning and strategies. Prepare texture modified foods and fluids as determined by the speech pathologist.
Enteral Feeding Training (Tube Feeding via PEG and PEJ)
Annual face to face training. Understanding the principles and management of Enteral Feeding. Provide assistance with basic anatomy, causes that require a client to have enteral feeding, preparation, administration, infection control and documentation.
Urinary Catheter Support and Complex Bowel Care
Complex Bowel Care, Urinary and Catheter Care. Annual face to face training. Understand the principles of constipation, Ostomies, faecal continent, urinary continent, prevention and management. Establish scope of own ability to provide assistance according to organisational guidelines.
Manual Handling
Annual face to face training. Correct use of/inspection and maintaining of Moving and handling equipment ie: Mobile/ Standing/ Gantry hoists/ Ceiling hoists, slide sheets, transfer boards. Standing and pivoting maneuver from chair and bed: 1-2 assist, PAC, and emergency procedures: falls recovery

Yes, depending on how many people you would like in the session. We offer a minimum of 5 people per session. If you have less, we are more than happy to add them to any of our existing calendar sessions. Just give us a call and ask us when!

We design and adapt our training to your company. Meaning, if you need a specific topic, give us a call and we can make that happen!
Yes, each staff member receives their own certificate with their name on it. Each certificates states the summerisation of the topic and ensures the NDIS high descriptors are included with the aged care standards. All certificates will be emailed to the preferred person in your company.
